Information in the app
Fuel Smart may store information you enter about vehicles, refueling, maintenance, expenses, and app preferences. This may include vehicle details, odometer readings, fuel amounts and prices, service records, expense amounts, dates, and settings. Exact fields depend on features you use.
Based on the project code reviewed, this information is stored locally on your device using Android Room and SharedPreferences.
Local storage
The reviewed code did not show app-specific Google sign-in, Google Drive sync, or an app-operated cloud database for the logbook. Local data may be removed if you clear app data or uninstall, subject to Android backup and restore behavior. Code inspection alone cannot guarantee behavior across every build, device, or system service.
Internet use
The app uses an internet connection to retrieve public exchange-rate information from the Czech National Bank (Česká národní banka, ČNB), for currency conversion or display where applicable. The external service or its infrastructure may receive standard connection information, such as your device’s IP address.
Based on the code reviewed, vehicle, refueling, maintenance, or expense records are not sent to ČNB. Verify the final build and service privacy information for current details.
Android system backup
The Android project enables system backup with allowBackup and defines backup and data-extraction rules. Depending on Android version, device configuration, account settings, and those rules, databases or preferences may be included in Android system backup and could be backed up through the user’s Google account when Android backup is enabled.
This is separate from app-operated Google Drive sync. We do not control Android or Google backup availability, retention, or restore behavior. Check device backup settings and Google’s applicable privacy information.
Sharing and third parties
No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs were found in the project code reviewed. Dependencies and behavior may change between builds. Android and Google services may process information when operating the device, backups, or system features you enable.
Google Play In-App Review
The project may use Google Play’s In-App Review API to let you submit a review. Google Play controls that flow; the app does not receive review text through this API. Google may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Your choices
You choose what to enter. Manage or remove locally stored information through the app where controls are available, or through Android settings. Clearing storage or uninstalling may delete local records. If Android backup is enabled, backup data may be restored according to device and account settings. Disabling internet access may prevent exchange rates from being retrieved.
Children
Fuel Smart is a vehicle-management utility and is not designed specifically for children. The reviewed code did not reveal an age-verification or child-directed data collection feature.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The current version will be published here with a revised effective date. Verify it against the final release build before relying on it for a store listing or legal compliance.
